For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as ransom for many.
Mark 10:45 NKJV
Our congregation is always willing to help serve in so many ways. Here are some of our current projects that we are working on:
Mission's Department Garage Sale
The Mission's Department will be having a garage sale to help raise funds for future projects. It will be held June7, 8, & 9th from 9am-4pm in Troy at Mary Dillman's house. It will be part of the Westbrook Subdivision's neighborhood garage sales. Please go through your treasures and see if you have anything to donate. Please NO clothing. Toys, household items, linens, tools, etc will be much appreciated. Bring them to the church and give them to Mary. Anything left after the sale will be donated to Goodwill. If you would like to volunteer that would be great as well. If you have any questions contact Mary Dillman.
Don't you love it when you are waiting in the drive-thru at your favorite morning stop and you pull up to the window to find that someone has already paid for your morning coffee and breakfast sandwich?
Our Mission Team thought that this is such a great way to spread love and the name of Jesus. The team has created Kindness cards that tells the person that you just
purchased their meal for them and you hope that they have a blessed day. (It also contains the church information!)
Make sure to pick up a few of these cards so when you are in line and would like to pay for the person behind you, you can ask the clerk to hand the card and the receipt to the person behind you. This way it lets everyone know that Jesus loves us all and you are just the messanger.
Scrap Metal Drive
The Mission's Department is collecting scrap metal in April to help raise some money for their outreach. If you have anything that you would be willing to donate, it would be greatly appreciated! This is a great excuse to get some early spring cleaning done, and a wonderful way to raise some money for our missions department! Some things that could be donated are old washing machines, pop cans, hangers, anything that is metal (Please make sure that it is metal) If you are wanting to donate a refrigerator, please make sure all of the refrigerant is out. The collection has begun and will be over the next couple of weeks. If you have a donation and need it to be picked up please contact us!
